For travelers seeking a memorable vacation that doesn’t require too much planning, Hospitality Highway has an eclectic assortment of places to visit that offer everything from outdoor to social distancing approved activities that are sure to appeal to everyone. All you need to do is hop in the car and go! 

BUCKHEAD

Discover a hidden natural gem, tucked away in the middle of towering skyscrapers, by venturing to Blue Heron Nature Preserve in Buckhead. The Preserve stretches for 30 acres, with a 3-mile walking trail stretching throughout. It’s the perfect place to take in the beauty of nature in the heart of a bustling city. Different sections of the trail represent different natural ecosystems, ranging from wetland habitats to meadows. Each not only provides a relaxing environment to explore, but also offer a first-hand glimpse at the various natural landscapes where Blue Herons thrive.

With the summer heat here to stay, people are looking for the best ways to stay cool while still enjoying the great outdoors. There’s no need to lock yourself inside with the AC on full blast when you have 20 miles of the Chattahoochee River to enjoy in Sandy Springs. On this iconic river, visitors can spend time of the water floating, paddling, fishing and more.

ROSWELL

While making your travels up, be sure to stop by Roswell to dive into the local artistical masterpieces and beautifully kept outdoor spaces. Hit the trail to the top of the picturesque Indian Seats and take in the breathtaking views of the distant rolling ridgeline of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sunsets from the mountain’s towering overlook are simply spectacular! 

DAWSONVILLE

Head over to Dawsonville to hike to Georgia’s tallest waterfall. Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge is set in the rolling, vibrant-green southern Appalachian Mountains and is one of the most popular of Georgia’s State Parks. This immense waterfall spills down a towering bluff into a boulder-filled forest. It is the perfect end to a long, yet scenic hike on the Appalachian Trail.

DAHLONEGA
