Buckhead

Known for its high end uptown scene, Buckhead, is the location of Georgia’s  most elegant homes, shopping plazas and parks in Georgia. One of the most notable and classic landmarks, The Swan House, built in 1928, is the perfect place to take your next Instagram picture. Open to the public year-round and a coveted destination for weddings, for a fee of $10 you can take a behind the scenes tour of the Swan House and soak up the rich history and gorgeous architecture featured here. While visiting, get creative and snap some shots of the charming and iconic blue front door or recreate a scene from the popular 2013 film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Don’t leave without walking down the back stairs next to the cascading fountain and capturing a photo with the mansion in the background. One of the more natural settings of the Atlanta Beltline, the Northside Trail section is another great option for a picturesque shot in the Buckhead area. Follow the Northside Trail and meander along trickling streams beautiful greenery and rustic bridges that make for a great background setting. Time your photo just right and snap your shot while standing under the covered bridge as the train passes just above.

Sandy Springs

As the summer months approach, Sandy Springs’ staple, the Chattahoochee River, lovingly referred to by residents as “the Hooch,” becomes packed with tourist and locals ready to soak up the sun and scenery while cruising down the 430-mile-long river. Floating down the Chattahoochee River with friends and family in multi-colored tubes has become a favorite past time of Atlanta residents and visitors alike. The unique assortments of water vessels ranging from kayaks, canoes and paddleboards make for a perfect summer scene worth capturing. If you prefer to stay land locked— no problem. Roswell

The Vickery Creek Waterfall at Roswell Mill is scenic, serene and makes for a great hiking trip or moderate trail run – the perfect photo opportunities lie along the trail and at the magnificent waterfall. With so many spots to choose from, customizing both your experience and a shareable photo is easy. Take a day for yourself to enjoy the outdoors and traverse the winding trails that run along the ruins of the historic Roswell Mill and spillway dam. In addition to the waterfall, pose on the rustic Pedestrian Covered Bridge or against the Old Machine shop, a Georgia-style 2-story brick building that is the only structure of the original mills remaining – a photo here is guaranteed to be noticed.

Established in 2016, the expansive 5-acre passive park located on the back side of the new City Hall in Alpharetta, Brooke Street Park and Arboretum, features jaw-dropping landscape and a variety of colorful flowers that make for the perfect addition or background to any photo. Over the next couple of months, visitors will be pleasantly surprised to find new art sculptures being installed in the park. Come camera ready to be one of the first to snap photos of the art sculptures as they go up and appreciate the value they add to the park. Take a stroll on the beautifully landscaped concrete path and snap photos as you go along.
