What to Do

Historic House Museums

Roswell King’s decision to build a mill in an otherwise vacant part of the world led to a place connected to the Civil War, United States Presidents and an architect that designed much of Atlanta. See it all through our guided and walking tours. There are three historic house museums to tour either self-guided or on guided tours.

Chattahoochee Nature Center

127 acres of nature that was created to bring fun and education to the outdoors. As you take in the grounds covered with beautiful, native to Georgia plants, observe the birds of prey habitats including two bald eagles. Add to the adventure by riding the Screaming Eagle Zipline, the only zipline in Metro Atlanta that goes over a body of water! Finish out your time with a trip to the Discovery Center to see more wildlife up-close and personal.

Old Mill Park

Old Mill Park is one of Roswell’s most scenic and popular parks. You’ll see remnants of old mill machinery and the still standing Old Mill Machine Shop which was all part of Roswell’s mills in the 1800s. Learn about their history along the trails. You’ll also see Vickery Creek Falls and the pedestrian bridge which leads you to hiking trails in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
