The most wonderful time of the year is almost here! Everyone knows the year’s best events happen during the holiday season. BUCKHEAD

CANDLELIGHT NIGHTS AT THE ATLANTA HISTORY CENTER
Experience a truly magical evening full of nostalgic, warm memories for the whole family. At the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead, guests will experience Christmas past with a candlelit stroll through the beautifully-decorated gardens and historic houses. As you walk through the homes, you’ll become enthralled by the warm glow of the holiday season. Guests can pick up some last-minute gifts at the lively holiday market filled with local crafts, artist creations, and vintage holiday decor. Santa will be there to talk to all the good little girls and boys, too!

MACY’S PINK PIG
The Macy’s Pink Pig Train has been a classic holiday tradition in Atlanta for more than 50 years. Atlanta’s most “pink-tacular” train ride travels along train tracks to carry children through a life-sized storybook world that includes the original Pink Pig and other holiday friends.
Quick Facts: Saturday, November 2, 2019 through Sunday, January 5, 2020. Each ride costs $3 and multi-ride tickets have a special discounted price (two rides for $5.50, three rides for $7.50). SPARKLE SANDY SPRINGS
You won’t want to miss the 3rd annual Sparkle Sandy Springs! It’s a one-of-a-kind, month-long holiday light and art display the whole family will enjoy. Walk through a wonderland of festively decorated wooden houses painted by local businesses, schools and non-profit organizations. Sparkle Sandy Springs begins on December 8th and is open to the public through the month of December. Did we mention the event is completely free?

1853 LIVING HISTORY WEDDING OF MITTIE AND THEE
You are invited to attend the 1853 wedding of Mittie Bulloch to Theodore Roosevelt (Sr.), where the spirit of romance is created through drama and historical accuracy. The evening consists of a re-enactment of the wedding in Bulloch Hall, storytelling in the quarters and a wedding cake with a special cold dessert!

Unearth those running shoes from the back of your closet and sign up for the jolliest race of the year! Proceeds will support foster families and spread awareness to prevent child abuse.

DAWSONVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE
Hop in your car and head up to Dawsonville to witness the 7th annual Dawsonville Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting. Get there early on December 1st and shop around the jingle market where you can purchase handmade crafts and delicious bites from local vendors and food trucks, then watch as the city shuts down for the annual Christmas parade that runs directly through Downtown Dawsonville. After the parade, stick around for the annual tree lighting ceremony and enjoy a night of music, dancing, cookie decorating, and pictures with Santa.
