Civil Knowledge A cache by dap217
NOT LOCATED IN NEARBY GOLF COURSE.
Atlanta and its surrounding neighborhoods have lots of history relating to the Civil War. I hope for this to be the first in an educational series. The cache is a camo Rx bottle. BYOP. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC1AGPX
Here Piggy Piggy A cache by George&Heather
The Pink Pig Ride at Lenox mall has been an Atlanta holiday tradition since it opened in 1953. Throughout the years, four generations of Atlantans have ridden through the life-sized storybook ride and proudly wore their "I Rode the Pink Pig" stickers. The ride is available from late November to early January and a portion of the proceeds go to great local charities such as Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The cache is available year round and not located within the ride. Also, no patronage is necessary, but if you are lucky enough to be in the area when the ride is open, especially with children, consider taking a ride!
FTF gets $1. Don't spend it all in one place!
Congrats to JMTBuzz on FTF! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC1J6T2
Buckhead Baseball A cache by JBnMaggie
Take yourselves out to the old ball park & have a blast finding this multi-micro-cache. All that's required is about a quarter mile of level baserunning/strolling and your autograph on the geocaching team roster sheet found in the cache tin.
The game starts at the coordinates above with our Little Leaguer up to bat... Nerves and the ball fly as contact is made and our geo-runner heads for first base. The ball is hit for POWER & travels a distance of 260 feet at 162 degrees, landing near where you'll find the next decimal digits.... Batter up, and it's a shot that moves our caching-runner over to second base, as the team tries to put some numbers up on the SCOREBOARD...Next batter and there's an ELECTRIC LINE drive, taking the runner and the cache hunt to third base... Now all that's needed is a good bunt to bring home the run, find the final cache, and get the go-ahead smiley! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GCGMB1 |
